Message: I am a science teacher in a Catholic school (Ascension School in Baltimore, maryland) and ordered a set of antlions through Earth's Birthday Project. My 6th, 7th, and 8th graders have found them fascinating. I too find myself watching these little critters whenever the students are doing quiet seatwork. Antlions are so ugly that they.re actually cute.
Message: Hi do you guys know if ant lions live in Colorado? USA RESPONSE: Personally, I don't know for sure. I imagine so though. Here is a web address that will give you more information. http://www.antlionpit.com/nearctic.html
Message: Antlions are the greatest pets! I have mine in a large, tall mason jar. His name is Monster. He can throw all the sand he wants to but the jar is high enough to contain it. I feed him with small black ants from around the house.

Message: I just got my ant lions, and they immeditely buried themselves. I threw in some ants, and they chewed 'em up and spit 'em out. Tons of fun to watch. We don't have antlions where we live, so this about the coolest bug I've seen in ages. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site.
Message: i think antlions are so cool. i hope i will be able to get one soon but my mom said i can't because she won't pay for them and i know i can't come up with the money but i'm saving.

Message: I've got some teacher tips: Order a dozen - partner up your kids. They can name their antlion. Use a sieve and you can get plenty of good clean sand from the playground. Put each antlion in a tall plastic glass with 1/2 sand and name taped on side. Use plastic eggs to collect ants at recess.
